Jaan Saar, Head of Digital Construction | Construction and Housing Department, Ministry of Climate Estonia; EU BIM Task group Chairman. Jaan focused on helping engineering and construction companies digitally transform their business in an industry undergoing disruption; joined the Estonian Government in 2018 with the goal to digitally transform construction in Estonia; In July 2023 I changed ministries due to government reorganizations and the establishment of the Climate Ministry; currently developing the “e-construction platform” which will provide the digital infrastructure for collaborative data sharing related to the built environment; At the EU BIM Task Group working to bring together national efforts into a common and aligned European approach to develop a world-class digital construction sector.
